What an amazing place!!! We had such a fun weekend at Wilderness Wood! From the amazing grounds— with so much to explore and swing on, jump off, look at or peek through— through to the brilliant facilities — wood fired woodland showers, decent toilets and wash blocks — and also the great communal areas: the cool house, where we cooked a great meal for 40 people, as well as the conveniently located kids play area right next door. There’s also a great cafe with cakes, coffee, teas, cold drinks and some alcoholic drinks (in the evening). Would highly recommend this place and the team who were so helpful and friendly!

Such a beautiful place. We have stayed in one of the cabins for three days and have so enjoyed the sweet little home from home and peaceful surroundings. There is a lovely, friendly atmosphere on site. Grab a gluten-free brownie from the hub if you can! Just idyllic- I’d recommend a stay to anyone.

Great woods walk, lovely vibe near the open kitchen and hatch, only £4 each, plenty of parking, clean toilets including 1 disabled (note access to the disabled toilet has a high step, Not immediately wheelchair friendly-3 bricks high, may have to ask for a ramp before you're in need) Wilderness woods has some beautiful looking huts to stay in and camp areas , big swing in the trees and a little play area. Very nice place to visit ! Really easy to find, well sign posted

I've photographed a few awesome weddings at Wilderness Wood, and it's just the most perfect wedding venue - and one of the few places you can legally get married in the woods! Top tip - have a live band and fire pit in the evening followed by a silent disco under the festoon lights! Also, get on the big swing for fun photos!

Lovely woods to walk round, great for kids and families. There are pushchair friendly trails, lovely cafe with home made cakes and play areas, including a mud kitchen. Only thing on negative side is the admission is no longer free or donation, still cheap day out.

Wilderness wood is a lovely place to walk around. It's only £4 per person or £15 per family entrance. There are toilet facilities, the cafe only sells drinks and cakes. It's a great place to wander and unwind. It's a nice place to take the kids, things to climb on and places to explore. The owners are clearly passionate about the environment.

Lovely rustic wooded area with a cafe and assortment of wood products. Cafe sources the meat from the local butchers. Zip wire, swing and mud kitchen for the kids (and adults) to play on. You walk throughout the for a 'pay what you feel' donation. It's great watching this place grow in every sense.
